Sea Glass

No we haven't suddenly emigrated or anything, I am just very lazy about remembering to post on here! I cant help it my metabolism slows down in winter, like a small irate hedgehog, days just seem to drift by some how !

Anyway, I hope you had a lovely christmas and new year! We did, sadly I'm slightly lacking in photographic evidence as I kept forgetting to pick the bloody camera up! I did however get a few pics on the new phone on Boxing day, Rich and I took the rickety old Landy out to Brean Down near Weston-Super-Mare, with a basket full of turkey sandwiches and christmas goodies!

The cliffs and rocks are just amazing, I love coming here! There are also quite a few little goats scrambling about on those cliffs, I always worry they will slip and break their little goaty legs!!

The rocks around the cliffs are the best place for my favourite of beach activity, hunting for sea glass! My pockets where pretty full when we left, luckily Rich doesn't think I'm a complete weirdo.

Happily one of my Christmas presents from Rich's Mum & Dad was a nice new jar for my collection ( filling that should keep me occupied for a while ), it goes very nicely next to one of my other christmas prezzys, a gorgeous 50s paperweight!

While we're hovering around the subject, check out the very cool bugs my sister found for me! Unfortunately their gorgeous iridescent green shells don't show up in these pics...

and lastly, what do you get the girl who has everything?  That would be a 1950's tin globe of course! Well played Rich...well played.

More updates in the near future I promise!

What a lovely way to spend Boxing Day and it looks like you were lucky with the weather. And the bugs are fabulous!

I hv just started collecting Seaglass it is a very addictive hobby! I luv it, we just spent 2 weeks nr Swanage and found loads of pieces also on Studland. Now just returned from 2 days in Torquay where founds loads more. I want to go to Brean as we not that far away about an hr just under, I display mine in pretty glass dishes. I love the stuff and have some rare blue pieces too!
