I picked these up at a boot sale before we went on holiday a few weeks ago...
The other fabric is off cuts from the Sandersons 50s fabric collection which is reissue of a retro design, theres probably enough to do a few cushion covers and only £1.80.
While we where away on holiday I also picked up a few more plates (because apparently I don't have enough!), I got two 'Beefeater' plates by Ironstone from an antiques market in Lyme Regis, they where buried at the back of a stall and Im pretty sure had been there when we went last year, I managed to get them for £3 each, a bit more than I would normally pay but I just love the friendly looking bulls, they make me smile.
Our other score on holiday was the little 60s record cabinet, it was a bit rickety and I managed to get some money off. We've been looking for a small unit to stand next to our sofa to keep our extensive mag collect tidy, so this little unit was perfect. As with most of the furniture from this era is has been heavy varnished, I'm not a big fan of this look so we decided to carefully sand the vanish off and wax the wood the same as we did with the G-Plan sideboard.
