As the weathers been so good we've been trying to get out and either walk or run most evenings, one of our favourite places to go is Solsbury Hill, the view over Bath it just fantastic from up there and can be enjoyed at either a leisurely stroll or hyperventilating mess which ever your prefer.
I cant believe its almost the end of May (and mine and Rich's birthdays in a few days!!), the weather has been mostly beautiful and I managed to spend a lot of time outside gardening and working. We got our first BBQ of the year in too and a few more besides! I managed to get a few plants on the go, some little tiny tomatoes we picked up at a boot sale for 50p each, Swiss Chard, a Globe Artichoke among other things. Im waiting on a lovely delivery of herbs from Victoriana Nursery to help me replant my herb bed after a badger decided to dig it all up last year so really looking forward to that. I've been trying to get into the habit of refilling the bird feeders all winter, as I'm terrible at remebering to buy bird seed. Ive done quite well this year and really enjoyed how many birds it seems to have attracted into the garden. We were totally amazed the other evening to find a woodpecker having a crack at our fat balls!! This massively upset Stella who didn't know what to make of this giant sparrow! As the weathers been so good we've been trying to get out and either walk or run most evenings, one of our favourite places to go is Solsbury Hill, the view over Bath it just fantastic from up there and can be enjoyed at either a leisurely stroll or hyperventilating mess which ever your prefer. Ive not really brought much stuff this month as we really dont need anything else for the house, although we did get this cross stitched Lancaster Bomber from a charity shop the other day...well why not! Why wouldnt you want a hand stitched folk art picture of a machine of death?! ....I'm not weird...your weird!! So that was May, see you in June!
