Apologise to any who are getting sick of my obsessive bargain hunting, I realise its not very exciting but I am a woman possessed (plus its my blog!), so here are a few more of my weekly finds...
Picture
Incredible hall this week, I put this down to the amazing weather, the Lansdown car boot was PACKED...with bargains that is (do you see what I did there...)
Picture
5 Sheffield bone handled knifes for just £1, I grew up with bone handled cutlery and am very nostalgic about it. Somehow its just feels very homely to me. The indian fabric was a huge throw for £1.50, to be cut up and used in a large patchwork blanket I'm making (which I will try to take a pic of soon if I remember!)
Picture
A cute little etching that has seen better days, brought from some teenagers for £1 down from £3.

I mentioned a while ago that we where on the look out for door knobs for the old pine doors we have, we managed to get 2 bakelite sets and another brass set for £3.50. One of the bakelite ones has been painted at some point so will have to research how I strip this off which out damaging it.
I think we will use the brass ones down stairs and the bakelite ones up stairs and even if I change my mind they haven't cost us the earth!

Look at this cute little baby microscope, arrr I couldn't leave it there so it came home to the house of crap for £1.

And last but not least the star attraction of the day, our new vintage 50's kitchen table! Is'nt it cool, it has a enamel top which was pretty stained but after some bleach and elbow grease supplied with precision by Rich it looks great.
It was a little more than I would normally spend and the guy simply would not budge on the price (it's rare to meet someone who is as tight fisted as myself when it comes to money) but we loved it and it will go brilliantly with our English Rose kitchen so I think in the end £25 was worth it.

It was only after we had carried it to the Land Rover and had manhandled it into the back that Rich mentioned that he has seen the guys dog peeing up the leg...which I had then been holding while we loaded it...
so other than that little rain cloud a good day!
