Hello January

So here we are in 2016, we've been pretty lucky in the West Country so far and haven't had to much winter weather, we have had the log burner going quite a bit so the new log store has come in super handy. We sold the old pan tiles which came off the roof in the summer and use the money to buy a ton of logs, pretty good trade really and  helping to keep the gas bill's  down.

Soooo cosy to come home to this...

We haven't really done much since Christmas so here a few new treasures I acquired recently in place of any interesting house progress.

I collect mid century West German Keramic pottery so was super chuffed when Rich brought me this vase for Christmas. The glaze is the most ott purple, its so hideous I totally love it!

LOVE IT!

Another one I picked up a few weeks back sits next to the fireplace and is massive, Stella keep trying to stick her head in it.

I also brought these two green glass 50's vases over Christmas from a local charity shop, they look great when the sun gets behind them (when not blocked by Stella!).

And lastly possibly one of my fav buys of 2015 (other than the Egg Chair of couse!) was this Shatterline lamp from a car boot sale complete with spun fiberglass shade which are hard to find now. And in my favourite orange, again so awful its cool!

So thats it for January, not much excitement. We do have plans a foot for the coming year and another big house project so hopefully more on that soon.

The lamp is mighty fine. I couldn't help noticing your footstool, did you make it yourself. We have a chair upholstered in the green fabric.

Hi, yes super pleased with the lamp, looks fab when on in the evening too. I picked up the square footstool from a boot sale back in 2012 for about £2, I happened to have a lot of fabric samples at the time which I couldn't decided between so just patch worked them all together in the end. I love how it came out an it gets a ton of use! You see how it originally look here:
