Here are one or two treasures found over the last two weekends...
...the car booting season is upon us once more. Phew! Here are one or two treasures found over the last two weekends... A beautiful blue/green glass cloche for £2! I think people may have been put off by what looked like a massive crack in the glass, on closer inspection I found it was actually a crease in the glass from when it was made. A few vintage sewing bit and bobs, all picked up for pence. I love these leather buttons, I have a growing collection but am yet to actually use them on anything! A huge rusty milk churn!! I am so chuffed with this, I'm planning to plant a tree in it! Just realised I really need to cut the grass. This wonderful sign wasn't actually from a boot sale, it was given to me as it was going to be chucked out! It has be hung up outside of one of Baths branch libraries for at least 20 years and has recently been replaced with a shiny new one. How could I resist, we're planning to clean it up and put it on top of our bookcase!

I like using odd containers, one trick I've discovered is to drill drainage holes in the sides rather than the bases. So, a container two feet tall I would put the drainage holes about four inches up from the bottom and put rocks or those polystyrene containers in. This is a big help in stopping them drying out as the base can be a resevoir of water. I got the idea from a 'self watering' container.

Due to a compulsive seed collecting habit I have lots. Tall stately thistle things, low plants with thin leaves that throw up dozens of blue cornflowery flowers on 18" stems all summer and that make lots of seeds, plants that look like cow parsley and others. If you would like some please drop me an email and I will be only too happy to send them. They are all hardy and easy to grow.

Do you have any of the green glass cloches for sale? I am looking for two like the one pictured on your site. Thank you, Nancy
