Woohoo, as of Saturday we have a raised bed!! Am thoroughly over excited about the whole thing...I almost killed Richard getting it done but as usual he has done a superb job and under a baking sun as the UK has had a little heat wave! So here is a little reminder of what we achived last weekend... I am totally, totally in love with it! I keep going outside to check its still there, although I think the 2 tons of soil will keep it pretty well anchored. The top part of the bed is made from scaffolding planks which we got from here at £12 each, the rest of made from gash wood we managed to scrounge up from our neighbour (including the corner posts being made from an old pine bed frame) So I finally managed to get some veg planted... Ok so I may be planting these out a little early but we don't have a greenhouse anymore so it was that or stay in their pot! It feels nice to have something growing, am trying to decide what else I can squeeze in this bed until we get the other 2, I think Rich may need a little time to recover! Thank you Rich, love you even more than my new bed (and thats a LOT!)
